What to Bring

What to Bring

Here’s a checklist of what to bring when your canine family member visits The Ranch for boarding:

  • Dog food in a bag no larger than 35 pounds…if you have an extended stay, we appreciate several smaller bags so that they can fit into our storage units.
  • You do not need to bring bowls unless you have a special needs dispenser.  All of our dog bowls are stainless steel and sanitized between uses.
  • Please bring the original medicine container and written instructions so that we can dispense properly.
  • Chew toys such as rawhide, chew bones, antlers, Greenies, chicken tenders or jerky.   The key is that these items must not pose a danger to your dog when left unattended.
  • If you have a younger dog, please do NOT bring small stuffed animals that could be destroyed or swallowed.    We recognize that some mature dogs have favorite stuffed toys, and these are allowed – we work on a case by case basis because we know that some dogs love their “babies”.   If your dog could chew or destroy the toy, please leave it at home.
  • Durable toys such as Kongs that are made of hard plastic are welcome.  Balls are never allowed in the kennel run under any circumstances as they present a swallow hazard, however we gladly play ball with your dog during a play session, so feel free to bring one for that purpose.
  • Bedding can help your dog feel at home, but if you have a young dog that likes to chew, we hope you’ll feel comfortable with the durable cots that we provide.   They are chew proof and get the dog up on a comfortable surface while still being safe and sanitary.    Beds and blankets will be returned in clean condition when possible (accidents do happen, and we cannot assume responsibility for chewed bedding).
  • Vaccinations must be faxed PRIOR to arrival (fax to 678.840.7666).   Click here to see our Vaccination Requirements.
